Ann Dorward's Traditional Ayrshire Dunlop is as you would expect made near Stewarton in Ayrshire, following traditional methods. It is a pasteurized Ayrshire cows' milk cheese with a natural rind. The pate is golden in colour, hard but not dry and wonderfully mellow and creamy.
Dunlop is one of the many cheese produced at the Dunlop dairy.
Why not check the link below for a tutorial on how the cheese is made from Ann herself when she appeared on the BBC2 program: Our food. (if you want to get to the spot straight away, it is at 28min). Well worth watching!
